The Bibliography Formatting Rules
The correct description of the entries in reference lists is the guarantee that the quoted
publication will be taken into account when assessing the scientific work of the authors and the
organizations where they work.
There is a list of used literature, in alphabetical order (first literature in Russian, then in
foreign) at the end of the article.
A number of sources of at least 20 entries, including 20% to 30% foreign sources.
The Editorial Board recommends to refer to global citation index journal articles, as well
as get acquainted with the works of Minin University scientists on the subject. This can be done
on the website of the University Library or RISC system by doing a keyword search.
List of cited (mentioned) works should be at the end of the article in a form of a list of
references, in alphabetical order and issued in accordance with the rules of bibliographic
description (GOST Р 7.0.5 – 2008).
Taking into consideration the demands of the international systems of citing, bibliography
is included in the English-language article block, respectively, it should be given not only in the
original language, but also in the Roman alphabet (transliteration and translation of the
individual elements of the description) (References).
It is not allowed to cut Russian-language references, enduring all the English-language
references in References. Foreign links should be repeated in both lists. Therefore, the authors of
articles should provide a list of references in two versions: one in the original language (Russianlanguage sources in Cyrillic, English-speaking in Latin letters), and a separate block of the same
reference list (References) in the Roman alphabet for the international databases, repeating it all
the sources of literature, regardless on whether there are among them foreign.
Names of authors, title of the magazine, books and publishing are transliterated in
References. The heading of the articles and books are translated (so the titles are transliterated
and translated) while the source language (Russian) is indicated after the output data. All major
publishing output information (descriptions of the journal: designation of volume, number,
pages, descriptions of books: place of publication - the city, the designation of the publishing
house (except for the name of the publisher's own nontransferable, it is transliterated)) must be
submitted in English. The name of the source (journal, book) is given in italics. The numbering
in the two lists must be identical. They must be identical in content but different in appearance.
References in the Latin alphabet can be prepared using the transliteration system of free
access (http://www.translit.ru) and Google interpreter. Doing transliteration manually is not
allowed in order to avoid mistakes.
Since different variants of transliteration of names are possible it is recommended to use
the data of the site www.elibrary.ru.
Technology of making links with the use of automatic
transliteration and translation
You can use the program of transliteration of Russian text in Latin from the site
http://www.translit.ru:
1. Enter the program Translit.ru. In "Options", select the system of transliteration BGN (Board
of Geographic Names). Put the entire text of the bibliography in a special field.
2. Copy the transliterated text to the list of References.
3. Using Google Translator translate article title into English, move it in the forthcoming list.
Translation, as a rule, requires editing.
4. Combine the transliterated and translated descriptions in accordance with the rules. It is
necessary to show the place of publication (Moscow, St.Petersburg) and to make minor technical
amendments.
5. At the end of the link (in Russian) is indicated in parentheses. Link is ready.
