Linguistics – recommended reading
To understand the essence of language, read any publication on linguistics, the
scientific or objective study of language. For general linguistics, try David Crystal, for
psycholinguistics, Noam Chomsky, for sociolinguistics, R T Bell and for translations,
Peter Newmark’s Theory and Practice of Translations.
