Surrender Fees – Effective May 6, 2014
Participating Counties and Fees
 $15 for the first animal and $10/additional animal.
 Litter fee is $50 (a litter is 4 or more related puppies/kittens under 6 months +/mom)
Participating Cities and Counties include:
 Forrest County
 City of Hattiesburg
 City of Collins
Non-Participating Counties (With no contract or open
admission shelter in their service area) and Fees
 $30 for the first animal and $15/additional animal.
 Litter fee is $75 (a litter is 4 or more related puppies/kittens under 6 months +/mom)
Non-Participating Cities and Counties include any county except:
 Lamar County
 City of Petal
 City of Waynesboro Animal Control (their municipal fee is $98/animal)
Lamar County and City of Petal Residents Fees: $30/animal (no
litter fee special) – Patrons can utilize their city/county
contracted shelter: Hub City Humane Society.
**Any shelter or rescue surrendering an animal from their
shelter or on behalf of an individual will pay a fee of $98 (cost
of care) to transfer animal in. **
