WELCOME
*OPENING HYMN
“Let There Be Praise”
*CALL TO WORSHIP
14 [B]
{Psalm 111:1-3 NIV}
Pastor: Praise the Lord.
People: I will extol the Lord with all my heart in the
council of the upright and in the assembly.
Pastor: Great are the works of the Lord;
People: they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Pastor: Glorious and majestic are His Deeds,
People: and His Righteousness endures forever.
*PRAYER OF INVOCATION
{John 4:13-14; 7:37-38}
All-Knowing and All-Caring God, we gather this day
drained by another week. We are like a parched
desert, empty and in need of replenishment.
Visit us with Your Presence, saturate us with Your
Spirit, and bathe us in Your streams of living water,
that our lives might acknowledge and worship You
to the Praise and Honor of Jesus Christ. Amen!
*PRAISE HYMN
“The Church’s One Foundation”
206 [R]
WE RESPOND TO GOD
*PRAYER OF CONFESSION
{Psalm 130:7-8, NIV}
God of Mercy, You sent Jesus Christ to seek and save
the lost. We confess that we have strayed from You
and turned aside from Your Way. We are misled by
pride, for we see ourselves pure when we are stained
and great when we are small. We have failed in
love, neglected justice, and ignored Your Truth. Have
mercy, O God, and forgive our sin. Return us to
paths of righteousness through Jesus Christ, our
Savior. Amen.
*ASSURANCE OF PARDON
{Psalm 130:7-8, NIV}
O Israel, put your hope in the Lord, for with the Lord is
unfailing love and with Him is full redemption. He
Himself will redeem Israel from all their sins.
