Agris Ilgažs - Dr.Med.Vet., Veterinary surgeon, graduated at
Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Latvian University of Agriculture in
1991 and since has worked and specialized in veterinary dentistry.
Completed his PhD in 2014`(“Bacterial spectrum in oral cavity and
himus of duodenum in dogs with periodontitis”). He is a lecturer of
courses ”Operative surgery”,”Veterinary dentistry” and is in
charge of students Internship practices. His scientific work is
mainly about pathologies of oral cavity in different species. He
works both in Small animal hospital of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in Jelgava and
in clinic in Riga.

Biology, husbandry and surgery of ferrets.
Lecture will give a good review of the major husbandry
challenges, most common diseases (Hyperadrenocorticism,
Insulinoma etc.), and clinical approaches to ferret health issues.
Anaesthesia principles of ferret surgeries will also be covered.
