Analysis of Polar Molecules

Chromatographic Society Spring Symposium & AGM

Wednesday and Thursday 21

st

-22

nd

May 2014,

AstraZeneca, Macclesfield, UK

At this meeting, the latest approaches towards the analysis of polar and other pharmaceutically relevant molecules will be reviewed. It will be of interest to all practitioners of separation science, particularly those using chromatography for problem solving in the analytical and bio-pharmaceutical fields. Analytical approaches to be presented in the meeting will include SFC, Capillary Electrophoresis, HILIC (and other

LC approaches) for both small-molecule and oligonucleotide pharmaceuticals.

There will also be a suppliers (both instrument and consumables) exhibition during the meeting alongside vendor presentations in the programme.

The venue is the UK R&D centre for one of the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies – AstraZeneca which has a rich history of developing and manufacturing a number of important products including

Zoladex, Faslodex, Caprelsa and Zomig amongst many others.

The theme for this meeting is ‘Analysis of Polar Molecules’. We have a number of confirmed speakers from academia and industry including Prof. Wolfgang Lindner (University of Vienna, Austria), Prof. Apryll

Stalcup (Dublin City University, NI), Tim Underwood (GSK), Dr Mark Taylor (Pfizer) and Dr James

Heaton (University of the West of England), Dr George Okafo (GSK) and Dr Caroline West (University of

Orleans, France).

This meeting is organised in conjunction with the Society of the Chemical Industry, SCI.
