“Ethics, the organisation and you”
Professor Barker will present on the subject of ethics, its role in relation to the organisation,
to you as an individual and how that contributes to the overall culture of the organisation.
Professor Barker, a Chartered Accountant herself, has a broad depth and breadth of
experience with the public service which makes her presentations highly informative and
insightful.

“Organisational culture and its implications for successful performance”
Niall and his team help organisations to develop their leadership and operational capacity.
Niall has extensive experience, at senior executive level, in the areas of HR, Organisational
Development and Change Management. Organisational culture is recognized as a critical
component of effective Governance frameworks. Niall will help us explore this in an
interactive way.
Government Officials from the Department of Expenditure and reform
This year sees significant developments in the Governance frameworks for the public service.
The launch of the revised Code of Practice for the Governance of State Bodies and also the
new Governance Standard for the Civil Service, are imminent. Representatives from DPER
will provide us with the opportunity to understand the implications for public sector
organisations from the implementation of these important regulatory guidelines.

We will also be discussing other issues of relevance to public sector organisations in the
Governance subject area.
