Geology Museum Tours
Geology Museum Main Entrance:
1310 Maple St.
Led by Bruce Geller, Director of Geology Museum
Come visit the home to one of Colorado's two goodwill moon rocks collected during the Apollo 17 mission. Explore
the historic building that first opened in 1874 and displays mineral, fossil, gemstone, meterorite and historic mining
artifact exhibits.

Led by Dr. Stephen Sonnenberg, Geology Professor
Enjoy a short outdoor hike up the Geology Trail, recently named the Bob Weimer Trail after Professor Emeritus Robert
J. Weimer. It begins at the Geology Museum and highlights fossils and geological marvels that are integral to
Colorado's history. Remember to bring good walking shoes, sun protection, and water.

National Earthquake Information (NEIC) Center Tours

Explore the National Earthquake Information Center (NEIC) and learn about the process of determining the size of all
destructive earthquakes worldwide while immediately disseminating the information. The NEIC compiles and
maintains an extensive, global seismic database on earthquake parameters and their effects.
