Participants must obey all lawful instructions from the workshop Manager and Support Staff such as (but not limited to) all reasonable instructions, directions and procedures relating to work health and safety in operation at our premises. 2. Participants must not consume alcohol, use illegal substances, or smoke cigarettes whilst participating in the workshop in any capacity. 3. Once registered with the Manager, Participants must not depart from the workshop environment without the approval of the workshop Manager or the Support Staff. 4. Participants are representing their school, family, organisation or business and Questacon. No discredit should be brought to either of the above. Behaviour befitting a Participant will be required at all times. 5. No disrespect will be tolerated under any circumstances. 6. If Participants have any problems, they are to report them to the workshop Manager as soon as possible. 7. There is to be: • Respect for the venue and all property; • No interference with other people’s property; • No use of venue telephones and other services (except at the Participant’s expense);The Participant’s parent(s)/guardian will be liable for any damage or loss caused to Questacon’s property and premises resulting from the Participant’s conduct. 8. Once signed in, Participants must attend all approved activities unless given permission to do otherwise. 9. Participants agree to wear enclosed footwear and any other stipulated uniform compliance. 10. Participants agree to demonstrate punctuality as required by the workshop Manager. 11. Participants are required to take care of their possessions whilst at the workshop. Questacon will not be held liable for any loss or damage to Participants’ possessions. Breaches of any Code of Conduct Rules may lead to immediate expulsion from the workshop. Should expulsion occur, the Participant’s parent(s)/guardian will be contacted and appropriate travel arrangements will be made. Any and all additional expenses incurred will be the responsibility of the Participant’s parent(s)/guardian. Consent to apply First Aid In the event of any emergency, injury or illness, you authorise any official from Questacon Management Staff in charge of the workshop, to obtain on your behalf and at your expense, any medical assistance, treatment and transportation as deemed necessary. Registration fees, daily registration and transport Provisions of services and staff need to be booked well in advance and as such, once the registration fee has been paid this amount will not be refunded. For Duty of Care purposes, Participants will be required to register daily for the programme to ensure that all Participants are accounted for throughout the day and leave the workshop premises safely. All transportation to and from the The Ian Potter Foundation Technology Learning Centre will need to be arranged by the Participants or their parents/guardians. If you are using public transport please check local timetables. Please ensure that you arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of first session to allow for registration. The first session of the day will commence at 9 am. The last session of the day will finish at 12 pm. Please ensure that you are punctual and arrange your transportation appropriately. More information about the programme and sessions will be sent to the Participant once the registration form is received. Questacon’s privacy obligations Under the Privacy Act 1988, Questacon is required to have a clearly expressed and up to date policy about the way Questacon manages personal information. This policy contains information about how you may access the personal information Questacon holds about you, and how you may correct any inaccuracies in that information. It also includes information as to how you may make a complaint about a breach of the Act, and how Questacon will respond to such a complaint. Collection and use of your personal information by Questacon The information you share as part of the registration process (including personal, contact, special requirements, dietary and financial details) will only be used for the purpose of organising Questacon programmes and ensuring you can safely participate in the programme. Your information and particulars will not be shared with a third party. All records of your financial information will be destroyed after your payment for a workshop has been confirmed. During the workshops, Participants may be asked to fill in surveys or participate in interviews regarding the workshop. These surveys and interviews will be anonymous, and will not collect any personal information. Results from the surveys and interviews will be used for internal assessment and reporting in relation to the holiday programmes by Questacon, and may be used for future programme evaluation by Questacon or a third party. As a Participant, you give permission to Questacon to use the information you provide in surveys and interviews regarding the workshop for these purposes. If Questacon seeks to collect, use or disclose personal information from Participants other than as described above (for example, if Questacon intends to take photos or video footage in which Participants may be identified), Questacon will separately notify you of its intention to do so and ask for your consent for that collection, use and/or disclosure.
