Folsom Jr. Bulldog Game Scores- 9/26/15 vs. Granite Bay Grizzlies Mighty Mites 36, Granite Bay 20 The Mighty Mites continued their winning streak with a win to go 4-0. Stellar running by Kayden Hoang, Aric Anderson, Jacob Bambino, and Garret Hicks set the tone for the day. Hoang was a huge contributor with several long runs on offense. The offensive line consisting of Graham Traynellis-Howell, Ike Okoye, Tristan Querry, Luke Sorensen, and Issac Harder opened huge running lanes through the Granite Bay defense. With great runs and downfield blocking by Tariq Lofton, Joseph Pelka, Joshua Dennison, E.J. the ball, dominating line play by Mason Fears, Michael Seabourn, Jake Knorr, Carson Ward, Okoye, Sorensen, and Querry kept the Granite Bay team on their heels. When the game became a tight contest at 28-20 in the 4th quarter, our boys never wavered. Timely contributions by August DuPree, Brooks DuPree, Gavin Carver, Brandon Medina, and Ayden MacKendrick ensured Granite Bay would not score again. A 38yard touchdown run by Anderson late in the 4th quarter sealed the deal and put the game out of reach. The Mighty Mites continue to improve each week and look to keep their momentum going when they play at Livermore Field against Del Oro next Saturday. Jr. Pee Wees 32, Granite Bay 12 After a slow start, the Jr. PeeWees got rolling Saturday behind key blocks from Colin Denny and Christian McAdams. First half touchdowns from Ayreon Smith and Christian McAdams put the Jr. Bulldogs ahead. In the second half, Smith tacked on 12 more points by running in another touchdown and taking an interception to the house. After an onside kick was recovered by Richard Semenza, QB Carter Martinelli threw a long pass to Jayden Benoit, setting up a short pass from Martnelli to Benoit for the final Jr. Bulldog points of the game. The Jr PeeWees look to improve against Del Oro at home next week. Pee Wees 38, Granite Bay 0 The Folsom Pee Wees won their 5th straight game with a 38-0 convincing victory over the Grizzlies. Tyler Tremain connected with Austin McMillan for a 75 yard touchdown in the opening drive. On the next offensive possession Tremain found Justin Arnaz on a quick out pass to make it 14-0. The bulldog defense quickly turned the ball back over to the offense. With key blocking up front by Kaden Knapp, Derek Jasper and Nate Peri, McMillan found the end zone with a strong run to make it 22-0. The Bulldog offense continued to roll when Tremain found the end zone on 7 yard run before half to make it 30-0. The Bulldog defense continued to control the Grizzlies offense in the second half. Grant Guthrie and Sean Bochaton had key interceptions to stop the Grizzlies drives. McKay Diehl had big runs on the day and scored the final touchdown to make it 38-0. Jr. Midgets 16, Granite Bay 6 The Folsom Jr. Bulldog Jr. Midgets get back in the win column with a 16-6 win over the Granite Bay Jr. Grizzlies. After giving up a touchdown on the the Jr. Grizzlies opening drive, the Jr. Bulldogs defense would not allow another score. Jacob Melander, Ian Fillion, and Tristan Golla each made tackles for a loss. Cy Watson and Malik Jackson had interceptions, both stopping Granite Bay drives. The Jr. Bulldogs would score 2 unanswered touchdowns in the 2nd half. David Clark would get it started catching a 64 yard pass from Cheyne Gitsham for a touchdown. Mitchell Anderson would put the Jr. Bulldogs on top for good late in the 4th quarter when he would receive the 2nd Gitsham touchdown pass from 24 yards away. Gitsham would convert on the second straight extra point for a 16-6 lead. The Jr. Bulldogs host the Del Oro Golden Eagles @ 4pm at Livermore Field in Folsom. Midgets 36, Granite Bay 0 The Folsom Jr. Bulldog Midgets rolled 36-0 over Granite Bay for their 5th straight controlled scrimmage game. Folsom scored on their opening drive when Dominic Navarro found the end zone to lead 8-0. On their next possession, Brady Huddlestun extended the lead to 16-0, on a 5 yard touchdown run. The Bulldogs continued to dominate on offense when Huddlestun connected with Gui Lozada from 5 yards out to lead 22-0. Just before halftime, Navarro intercepted a Granite Bay pass for a pick six to give Folsom a 30-0 lead. Folsom put the game into scrimmage when Max Simmons found Navarro from 29 yards out. Brian Blockmon scored again for Folsom after the game went to scrimmage. The Bulldogs host Del Oro next Saturday at Livermore Park, in a battle of undefeated teams with number 1 seed on the line.
