Deacon Dan Huber was ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop Martin Amos,
July 13, 2013. Dan has been a life-long member of the Cathedral. For many years Dan served as coordinator of youth ministry here at Sacred Heart. He has also served as the Spiritual Director and theology teacher at Assumption
High School in Davenport. He is currently serving as deacon and pastoral associate of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.
Deacon Dan and his wife, Rachel, have two daughters who attend All Saints and Assumption High School in Davenport. He holds graduate degrees with a
Masters in Pastoral Theology (MPS) from St. Ambrose University and a
Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Iowa. He received his BA from Creighton University. He has owned and operated two businesses in Davenport.
Deacon Dan’s involvement within the diocese has largely been focused on catechesis, and youth service and spiritual enrichment activities. These have included the Teens Encounter Christ (TEC), Christ in Others (COR), National
Catholic Youth Conference (NCYC), Catholics in Action (CIA) retreats. Dan also has served as a team member on several Christian Experience
Weekends.
