REPORTS TO: Marketing Manager 3. PURPOSE: To undertake responsibilities in the development of the Alumni Relationship Management and Corporate Relations of the University and to assist in the development of the profile of the University with its Corporate partners and Graduates.The Alumni function is a Customer facing Relationship management function and would interface internally with the Careers Centre and Faculty. PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: To help manage the implementation of the marketing strategy, in particular to maintain Corporate Relations, Business Development and Alumni Strategy, including the marketing of Post Graduate and Executive programmes; To develop as part of the marketing strategy the university strategyin its relationship to Business and Corporate Clients, and Alumni; To develop the Universities policy and programmes for the Corporate, Professional and Executive Market; To implement and monitor the implementation of the universities policy in these areas, working with colleagues across the university, in particular to support the marketing of Post Graduate and Executive programmes. To provide intelligence and where appropriate to form policy on the engagement of the university with its Corporate Market To help develop as part of the marketing strategy the university approach to its relationship to corporations, prospecting for commercial projects and to assist with the initial proposals; To develop the strategy on Alumni Relationship Engagement; To form and maintain the Official Alumni Association or similar name and to maintain the Data Base of Alumni and organise Professional Events for Alumni with the Faculty and/or Social/Career Centre to encourage and develop closer engagement with the Alumni Develop and maintain Relationship Management processes for the Alumni through a range of devices including professional social media; Gather intelligence about the development of the Individual Alumni and to use this intelligence to inform the Corporate Profile of the University; To work with Faculty and other departments to provide information and coordinate Corporate courses. To work with the Career Centre and other departments to ensure that the universities engagement with its Alumni, Corporate and Professional Clients is ‘joined up’; To contribute to the general activities of the marketing team; To undertake appropriate duties as required and in consultation with the Marketing Manager/1st Deputy Rector Academic. Context of the post WIUT is a new and different University, in Central Asia. The university needs to promote and inform the markets it serves, including the Business, Corporate and Professional Market. These markets have not been addressed by universities in Uzbekistan and it is the universities mission to exploit the opportunities, not for profit but for commercial gain and to feed into the Universities research and consultancy portfolio. There is a requirement for market intelligence and informed decision making on the nature of the market and the post is the first stage in this process. The post holder is required to be able to develop and use networks, be client focused and fully aware of the universities corporate position. The Post will also promote the development and marketing of the Post Graduate and Executive programmes of the University, as part of the University Strategy. Person specification – the person appointed to this post should be able to demonstrate the following essential elements Qualifications First degree in the area of Marketing or a degree which contains a substantial element of marketing or social science degree Be competent in English, Russian, Uzbek both oral and written; Experience Exposure to marketing practice, preferably in education or an industry that is related to professional practice Evidence of some dealings with organisations and corporate clients; Evidence working within teams; Aptitudes, Abilities, Skills and Personal Qualities Excellent communication, presentation and customer service skills; Good ICT skills; Networking and social skills to work in a Business and Professional environment Innovative, and dynamic, with a practical approach; An understanding of the educational environment or similar professional environments; An ability to think strategically and creatively, able to adopt ideas and to produce practical results; A strong sense of corporate commitment to the mission and objectives of the University; Prepared by: Alan France, 1st Deputy Rector (Academic) July 2015
