-Tape Resistant Snowflake Paint. On a piece of paper, make simple snowflakes using tape. Then have your child paint all over the paper.
Afterwards, take the tape off and the snowflakes will appear.

*Prep the Melt a Snowman activity for tomorrow*
- Melt a Snowman. In separate small bowls, add: googly eyes, orange foam triangle (the nose), buttons, glitter, foam mittens, and any other winter supplies you can think of. Add water to the bowls, just enough until you cover the items. Then put in your freezer for 24 hours.
Then put the frozen snowmen in a bin (similar to a sensory bin). Have your child pour water over the ice and have them chip away at it using a toy hammer.
- Winter book
- Polar bear picture. Print out the polar bear picture. Then take cotton balls and pull at them. Then glue on the cotton ball “fur” to the polar bear.
- Printable/ Worksheet
- Marshmallow Snowman Stamping. On a piece of paper (not white), draw a snowman. Then have your child take marshmallows and dip them in white paint and stamp them onto the paper.

- W is for winter. Put a printable for the letter W in a sheet protector, then have your child trace over it with dry erase markers.
- Snowflake Matching
-Sensory Bin Winter Play Artic Slime. Needed: water, ½ cup glue
(white, clear, or glitter), liquid starch, bowl, spoon, glitter, and snowflake confetti (or equivalent).
- Books about winter and snowmen
- Make Popsicle stick snowflakes and paint them. Add glitter!
- Snowman Matching
- Sensory Bin- Ice Painting. In a sensory bin, add cubes of ice. Then have your child paint the ice different colors. The ice will melt and the colors will mix together. Have your child identify the colors or just talk to them about the different colors.
