Columbia Singles League The inaugural season of the Columbia Singles League (CSL) will begin on August 4, 2013. League play will begin at 2:00 p.m. each Sunday at the Kwagga Sports Pub in Columbia. Once the league roster is finalized a schedule of individual matches will be published. It is the responsibility of any player who is unavailable to play a scheduled match to notify his opponent 24 hours in advance and to reschedule the match at a mutually agreed upon date and time. Makeup matches may be played on any day of the week. Due to venue limitations, only the first 12 applications to participate in league play will be accepted. Individuals desiring to play in the CSL should send their name, email address, and phone number to ColumbiaAreaDarts@gmail.com no later than midnight on July 31. A one time league fee of $20.00 will be collected on the first afternoon of the season. League members will vote to decide how these funds will be dispersed at the conclusion of the season. Possibilities include awards for league champions, league shirts, American Darts Organization (ADO) membership application, etc The format for league play will be as follows: Each individual match will consist of 15 legs (5 legs 501 SIDO, 5 legs Cricket, 5 legs 301 DIDO) A total of nineteen league points will be awarded for each match as follows: One league point will be awarded for each leg won in match play. One league point will be awarded to the winner of each series set (501/Cricket/301) One league point will be awarded to the winner of the most legs in each match (example: Player A wins the 501 set 3-2; Player B wins Cricket set 5-0, Player A wins 301 set 4-1. Player A receives 7 league points for legs won and 2 league points for winning two series sets. Player B receives 8 league points for legs won, 1 league point for winning a series set, and one league point for winning the overall match) Additional league points will be awarded based on accumulation of marks as follows: Tons (100 or more scored in ’01)—actual score of ton mark points 5 mark—100 mark points 6 mark—120 mark points 7 mark—140 mark points 8 mark—160 mark points 9 mark—180 mark points 3 bulls (2 or 3 darts)—100 mark points 4 bulls (2 or 3 darts)—125 mark points 5 bulls—150 mark points 6 bulls—180 mark points For each 1000 mark points a player accumulates 1 league point will be added to the individual standings Standard ADO rules will apply to all match play. Each leg will begin with a diddle (cork) to determine who throws first. A coin flip will determine the option of corking the first leg of each set. The loser of the preceding leg will have the option in the following leg. Depending on the number of the players, the season will consist of either 2 or 3 rounds of play between each player. All makeup matches must be completed by the final scheduled day of the season. That should get us started. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
