Peace Corps
AmeriCorps Vista
Peace Corp Volunteers work all across the world in a
variety of settings and fields, including: health, education,
environment, youth & community development, food
security, agriculture, and business and computer &
information technology. The traditional Peace Corps
program is 27 month in length.
Members make a year-long, full-time commitment to serve on a specific
project at a nonprofit organization or public agency. They focus their efforts
to build the organizational, administrative, and financial capacity of
organizations that fight illiteracy, improve health services, foster economic
development, and otherwise assist low-income communities.

Fulbright English Teaching Assistantships (ETA)
Fulbright ETAs are placed in a classroom abroad to
provide assistance to teachers of English to non-native
English-speakers. ETAs help teach English language while
serving as cultural ambassadors for U.S. culture. The age
and academic level of classroom students varies by
country, ranging from kindergarten to university level.

Global Health Corps Fellows
Global Health Corps provides a yearlong paid fellowship
for young professionals from diverse backgrounds to work
on the frontlines of the fight for global health equity at
existing health organizations and government agencies.
Fellows are currently working in Rwanda, Burundi,
Uganda, Malawi, Zambia and the United States.
VISTA Summer Associate Program
Offers the opportunity to become engaged in a community through an
existing VISTA project for 8 to 10 weeks during the summer. Existing
sponsors and partners who work with disadvantaged youth use the Summer
Associates program to enhance their existing programs as appropriate by
providing opportunities to engage disadvantaged youth in productive
service activities in the summer. Summer Associates choose from projects
throughout the country, based on their skills and interests, and serve with
community-based organizations, working to overcome poverty.

Seeks to expand the educational opportunities for low-income children
across the nation. Teach for America is developing a movement of leaders
who will help drive change at every level of our education system toward
the goal of a level playing field for all children. As a corps member, you will

William J. Clinton Fellowship for Service in India

Young professionals are paired with leading NGOs and
social enterprises in India in order to accelerate impact
and create effective projects that are replicable, scalable,
and sustainable. The service is for 10 mths during which
Fellows gain knowledge of development on the ground in
the fields of education, livelihoods, public health, and
social enterprise.

North Am. Language and Culture Assist. in Spain
Provides grants for US and Canadian students from any
field with to assist a teacher in the English or French
programs in elementary, secondary or language schools.

NYC Teaching Collaborative
The mission of the NYC Teaching Collaborative is to recruit and prepare
talented, committed individuals to become effective teachers who dedicate
themselves to raising student achievement and driving change in New York
City's highest-need schools. Participants will apprentice in a New York City
public school for six months, and then again for six weeks prior to becoming
a full-time teacher. During this time, participants experience hands-on
training in a public school classroom and targeted, ongoing coaching and
feedback from skilled mentor teachers and program staff.

French Ministry of Education English Teaching
Assistantships
Open to American citizens and permanent residents to
teach English or a period of 7 months in public schools
across all regions of metropolitan France and in its
territories. The program's goal is to strengthen Englishlanguage instruction in French schools by establishing a
native speaker presence.

New Israel Fund / SHATIL Social Justice Fellowships
Fellowships for 10 months interning in an approved,
individually-selected Israeli non-governmental
organization (NGO), active in one of the following areas:
safeguarding civil and human rights; pursuing
environmental justice; promoting Jewish-Arab equality;
advancing the status of women; fostering tolerance and
religious pluralism; bridging social and economic gaps.
NYC Urban Fellows
The program is designed to introduce America's college students and
graduates to local government and public service. It provides recipients an
opportunity to work in government or city agencies.

Coro Fellows Program in Public Affairs
Provides a full-time, nine month, graduate-level experiential leadership
training program that prepares diverse, talented and committed individuals
for effective and ethical leadership in the public affairs arena. The program
is offered in Los Angeles, New York, Pittsburgh, San Francisco and St. Louis.

Immigrant Justice Corps Fellowships
Austrian Government English Teaching
Assistantships
Recruits talented lawyers and college graduates and partners them with
NYC’s leading non-profit legal services providers and community-based
organizations to offer a range of immigration assistance including
naturalization, deportation defense, domestic violence or human trafficking.
The purpose of this program, which draws assistants not
only from the English-speaking world but also from
France, Italy, Russia, and Spain, is to bring talented and
enthusiastic young people from abroad into the
classrooms of secondary schools in communities large and
small all over Austria. U.S. assistants teach 13 hours per
week, usually at two different schools, under the
supervision of licensed teachers and a "supervisor"
assigned to keep track of their overall performance.

Japan Exchange and Teaching Programme (JET)
The program improves foreign language education in
Japan and to encourage international exchange at the
local level by fostering ties between Japanese youth and
foreign youth. There are three types of positions offered:
Assistant Language Teachers (ALTs), Coordinator for
International Relations (CIRs), and Sports Exchange
Advisor (SEA).

A program where recent college graduates and mid-career professionals
make a commitment to teach mathematics in public secondary schools. It
includes one year earning a master's degree in education and four years
teaching math and participating in activities and professional development.

Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowships
The program recruits and trains the nation's best and brightest recent
graduates and career changers with STEM backgrounds to teach in middle
and high school science and math classrooms. Benefits include a $30,000
