WIND ROSES

read the information about wind roses, what they are, and how they present climatic wind data in a
graphical form.
Click on the Wind Rose Plots link at the top of the page, then choose California. From the list of
California sites, select one of the cities and click on it. To view the seasonal wind roses, select the
months: Jan., Apr., Jul., and Oct. Use the gif extension files for each.
Write a brief description of the seasonal differences in the wind roses, including most frequent
directions, wind speeds, and % of calms.
