5TH GRADE TO JUNIOR HIGH TRANSITION - 2014
IT’S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR FOR 5TH GRADERS TO START PREPARING FOR THE TRANSITION TO JUNIOR HIGH. MOST OF
OUR STUDENTS WILL BE ATTENDING EITHER CINCO RANCH JUNIOR HIGH OR WOODCREEK JUNIOR HIGH, WITH A FEW
OF OUR STUDENTS WHO WILL ATTEND KATY JH, BECK JH, BECKENDORFF JH, OR MC MEANS JH.
PLEASE NOTE THE SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES PLANNED THE NEXT FEW WEEKS TO START PREPARING FOR JUNIOR HIGH:


Monday, 13th January
Cinco Ranch JH and Woodcreek JH counselors visit Rylander to talk to students
about the junior high experience and provide information on the course selection process. Students will come
home with a course catalog and course selection sheet. Students and parents need to complete this sheet at
home and return to teachers no later than 1/29/14.
Wednesday, 15th January
All 5th grade students go to Cinco Ranch JH for a Fine Arts’ Presentation and
walking tour
