HR Business Partner (OD) Job details Job title: HR Business Partner – Organisational Development (OD) Responsible to: Head of People Responsible for: Posts in the Organisational Development function Location: Liverpool with travel across all locations Overview of the role The overall purpose of the HR Business Partner role is to work in partnership with managers and with the HR Business Partner (HR) to ensure a holistic organisational development approach and one which builds the capacity and capability of the workforce and engenders a culture of continuous improvement and learning. To provide operational management and direction to all staff within the Organisational Development (OD) function and to ensure that the service is responsive, cost effective and provides innovative solutions. To work with the Head of People and other key stakeholders on the development and implementation of functional strategies. For developing and delivering appropriate learning interventions flowing from these strategies and for communication across the organisation. To ensure that the OD service is responsive, cost effective and provides innovative solutions. The post holder will deputise for the Head of People and will provide management support across the whole of OD including HR staff as appropriate, this includes managing staff and being responsible for all areas of performance within the team. Main responsibilities and accountabilities Leadership Provide management to staff within the function. As part of HR’s management team to work to embed Plus Dane’s vision, values and mission, and chosen organisational culture. Consult with and influence and build relationships with key external stakeholders. Strategy With the Head of People to lead on the development and successful implementation of strategies, business and financial plans in the function. Shape the services in the function to meet the needs of customers, stakeholders (internal and external) this includes identifying growth initiatives, partnership working and employee engagement. To work with the Leadership Team to help shape Plus Dane’s overall corporate strategies and business plans. Performance management To holistically manage performance of the team and to develop and ensure that KPI’s are met. To set and be accountable for the performance of the team and be accountable for the achievement of targets, goals, objectives etc. HR Business Partner (OD) Drive sustained performance across Plus Dane through holistic performance management interventions. Lead on initiatives to deliver business improvements within the function. Promote a customer and performance focused culture within the function. Responsible for the delivery of all programmes of work within the function. To develop and lead the organisations Something for Everyone (diversity) strategy and associated work across the organisation. Finances, budgets and resources Accountable for the delivery of budgets within the function. Ensure all of Plus Dane’s assets and resources are used efficiently and effectively and delivered in line with the Value for Money Strategy. Governance Ensure that Plus Dane operates within all regulatory guidance, statutory and legislative requirements. Responsible for the identification and management of risks within the function and support risk management activities across the rest of the organisation. Management Provide clear management and direction to all staff within the function. Encourage and promote cross functional working between teams across Plus Dane. Functional Responsible for delivering and supporting the delivery of all HR and organisational development programmes of work across Plus Dane. Other Provide expert professional advice to the Board, Leadership Team and staff as required. Ensure all work is aligned to the vision, mission and values of Plus Dane. Ensure that all functional strategies, policies, processes and guidance notes are up to date and in line with best practice / current legislation. Carry out all other duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time, with the level of this job description.
