Tests & Assessments This Week: Please check and sign
your child’s planner each night. They are supposed to write
down their homework daily.



Reading assessments (daily) – these assessments let me
know where your child stands in reading so that we can
begin instruction to meet his/her needs.

Attention: This classroom contains students with nut
allergies. Please be mindful of what food items you
bring inside the classroom for the safety of our
students with life threatening allergies. We also ask
that you please wash your hands if you have recently
eaten any food items containing nuts. We appreciate
your help! 
Parent Orientation Nights begin at 6 and end at 7 or before.
Students came and met their teacher on Meet the Teacher Night.
This night is for parents to come and hear information and
classroom expectations. This meeting is not a Come and Go, but
begins promptly at 6:00 p.m. The dates for grade levels are:

** We will have a “working” snack during Reading Block. Please send
“healthy” snacks with your child.
Our daily lunch time is 11:33-12:03.
You are welcome to join us for lunch. If you plan on
doing so, please sign in at the office, obtain a visitor
sticker and wait for our class in the front lobby.
Thank you.
* Student drop-off begins at 7:05 a.m. each morning, unless your
child attends Early Morning Care.
* The car-rider line ends at 7:40 a.m. each morning and at 3:15 p.m.
each afternoon. Please be sure to arrive prior to the stated times.
* Students should arrive to the school at a time allowing the student
to be unpacked and seated in his/her classroom before 7:45 a.m.
* Daily check-outs will end at 2:30 p.m.
* We welcome parents to enjoy lunch with your child, but please
enjoy the food prepared by our cafeteria staff or bring a lunch from
home. Restaurant food may not be brought into the cafeteria.
EARLY MORNING CARE
Early Morning Care is available to parents who have a need to get their
child to school before 7:05am. Miss Angie Harris will be in the CPES Gym
from 6:30-7:05am every morning. The cost is $3.00 a day (which can be
paid weekly). You must walk your child into the gym and sign him/her in
every morning. Please
do not drop your child
off and just send them
into the building until
after 7:05 when
supervision is in place for
those children.
Our first full week of
school has gone
