A reading from the letter of St. Paul
to the Ephesians
4:1-6
I, the prisoner in the Lord, implore you to lead a life worthy of your vocation. Bear with one another charitably, in complete
selflessness, gentleness and patience. Do all you can to preserve the unity of the Spirit by the peace that binds you together. There
is one Body, one Spirit, just as you were all called into one and the same hope when you were called. There is one Lord, one faith,
one baptism, and one God who is Father of all, over all, through all and within all.
The word of the Lord.

Eternal Rest
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon them.
May they rest in peace. Amen.
Prayer to My Patron Saint
Dear Saint ____,
Ever since my baptism, I bear your name.
Prayer for me to God –
For the strength of your faith,
The breadth of your hope,
The courage of your love.
Support me so that I, like you,
May hear God’s loving call today,
And in my life answer
As God’s grace moves me to.
Then one day, with you and all the saints,
May I receive the crown of life.

Loving Father,
who has called us through
the door of faith
into fullness of life,
help us to understand
the teaching of your Son
proclaimed by the Apostles,
alive in the Scriptures,
active in the Church,
professed in the Creed,
now offered to the world anew.
May we hold open
the door of faith
for all humanity.
