Carolinas HealthCare System System Antimicrobial Stewardship Pharmacist Job Summary Opportunity to be a part of the development, implementation, and coordination of Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs across all of the CHS acute care facilities and in concert with the continuing care network. The position will focus on the initial evaluation of existing steward programs, development and implementation of system goals and metrics, development of education material and platforms for antimicrobial stewardship, in addition to, the design and analysis of antimicrobial utilization data. Collaboration and coordination with multiple facilities, pharmacies, and key individuals to meet key system goals. This position is aligned with Hospital Engagement Network work. Essential Functions Leadership and development of a System wide Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Collaboration and coordination with multiple facilities, pharmacies, and quality to make sure key system goals are met Works with data analyst to design and analyze antimicrobial utilization data Collects statistical data from multiple facilities and recommends corrective action based on the results. Participates in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement activities. Designs and provides effective in-service education for physicians, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and other practitioners on antimicrobial use issues. Designs and provides effective education for patients and families related to antimicrobial use issues. Presents data in appropriate formats including development and reporting of benchmarks across multiple audiences There will be travel involved in working across Carolinas HealthCare System Education, Experience and Certifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy required.
