The first instrument is a Survey; this survey was applied to 5 students of each semester
(fourth, sixth and eighth) in order to know the Grammar knowledge that students have. The
main point of this Survey is to know if the students know what grammar is, as well as to
know if they think that have a Grammar workshop is a good idea to improve their
Grammar. In the following tables it is find the Survey questions with the answers of the
students.
In the table 4.1 it is found the first question and the answer of the students about Grammar,
as it can be seen most of students know that Grammar is related to Spelling, 4 students
think it is related to reading and 1 to Speaking.

have grammatical problems; as it can be seen 8 students have grammatical problems, only
one student do not have grammatical problems, 4 do not have much grammatical problems
and 2 students sometimes make mistakes.

The answers of the Survey was helpful in order to know the grammar knowledge students
have, it also was helpful to know the grammatical problems they have, as well as to know
their opinion about have a Grammar workshop which would be a great idea to help them to
improve their writing.

The main point of the second instrument (questionnaire) is to recognize the common
mistakes that students have, the questionnaire is about some sentences where the students
chose the correct answer.

The questionnaire was applied to 8
students of Sixth Semester. As it can be
seen in the Graph 4.1 students do not have
problems with verbs in third person and
relatives pronouns. It was easy to students
answer the questions about these topics.
They have little problems with Future,
Present perfect, Prepositions and Modal
verbs. But with the other topics they had
serious problems, for example with the use
of Conditional and Phrasal verbs.

Knowing the mistakes that they have it is
going to be prepare a new questionnaire

with the same topics and their English
teacher is going to pay attention to the

students and the teacher is going to
practice more with their grammar
exercises. Finally the second questionnaire
is going to be applying in order to know the learning of the students as well as their
improvement.
