Solar System Supply List
Starting Monday October 11, 2010, we will build our own solar systems. Your student will need to bring some supplies.
Here is a list of suggestions that may help you decide what to have them bring. Also you can discuss with them how they
would like to put it together to get a better idea of what would work for them.
These are only suggestions, if they come up with something that seems like it might work they can try it. I would
prefer if it isn’t food so that if it is well put together I can keep it to put on display. If they insist on food using that’s
fine.
To hold it together
Toothpicks
Skewers/shish kabob sticks
Wire
Metal Hangers
For Planets and the Sun
Styrofoam balls
Gum Balls
Balls of Yarn
For Moons and Rings
Skittles
Milk duds
Craft Pom Pom balls
Gum drops
Small gum balls
Small Styrofoam balls
They will also need some kind of paint if they bring Styrofoam balls. The paint needs to be acrylic craft paint or some
water based paint, like finger paints. Please email me when you see this note. masampson@weber.k12.ut.us They get
