EXECUTUVE SUMMARY OF TWO DAY NATIONAL SEMINAR ON Impact of Anglo - American Literature on Post-Independence Marathi Literature Introduction A new kind of renaissance has been evolved now-a-days in the study of Comparative Literature. So we desired to venture a probe to make a comprehensive comparative study of Anglo- American Literature and Post-Independence Marathi Literature by organizing this seminar. By organizing this seminar we aspired to reveal the impact of Anglo- American Literature on the evolution of Post – Independence Marathi Literature in all its genres by bringing together the scholars, researchers, teachers, students and readers for the in-depth deliberations on the topic. We proudly state here that we have got success in bringing into reality the aim of this seminar as the teachers from Maharashtra as well as Karnataka participated in the seminar. Even the students were given opportunity to participate in this seminar by keeping minimal amount of Rs. 100/- per student and Rs. 500/per teacher. In all 81 teachers and 100 students participated in the seminar. Inauguration and Plenary Sessions In all five Plenary Sessions and two technical sessions were organized in the seminar. It gave a dynamic shift to the topics that were dealt up-till-now in the preceding seminars. So the seminar proved fruitful to all the scholars, researchers, teachers, students and the readers of both Marathi and English literature.
