Education

MA Degree in History of Art, University of Warwick, 2013 (Dissertation mark: 74/
Average MA mark: 71 with Distinction).
Dissertation topic: The Carracci Draughtsmanship and the Venetian Tradition. My dissertation
was concerned with academic practices which were cultivated by both the Carracci and some of
the most renowned Venetian artists, such as Palma il Giovane and Tintoretto. Venetian drawings
and paintings are analysed as models employed by the Carracci to champion their new attitude
towards the representation of real life, predominantly human figures and landscapes, during the
late sixteenth century.

MA Degree in History of Art, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the University of
Pisa. (Final mark: 110/110 cum laude, 2010/11).
Dissertation topic: The Iconography of Saint Jerome in Sardinia between the Fifteenth and
Seventeenth Centuries. My dissertation was centred on a careful analysis of some Renaissance
paintings depicting the saint, now scattered in several art galleries in Sardinia. These paintings
are aligned with the most important pictorial styles and compositional schemes, which were
typical of Italian art at the time.

BA Degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences, Faculty of Arts and Philosophy of the
University of Cagliari (Final mark: 110/110 cum laude, 2007/08).

Giorgione, Titian, Veronese and Tintoretto upon Mario Delitala, a Sardinian painter of the
nineteenth and twentieth centuries.
