Homework for 19th October [ HIEP TON] October 19, 2015
List 3 things that you learned today that you wish you would have included in
the paragraph you wrote today (2 points)
In the invasive species and overtime section:
1. There are a possibility of having an invasive species that are actually not cause
any harm to the ecosystem. However, the ecosystem now would have to
restructure to adjust the new system that includes the new species.
2. The invasive species might not need to kill many other species, however, as it
limits the grow of one certain species in the original in the ecosystem, it can
cause the unstability of the system since there might be the case of
overpopulation of other species which now are not restricted or controlled by
the species that are currently controlled by the invasive species.
3. There might be a possibility of having the invasive species coming to the new
area. Yet, the original ecosystem as being disturbed by the new species, it would
immigrate the find a suitable environment. Therefore, it does not stop at one
ecosystem. Instead, it is a series of changing as one species from one ecosystem
got disturbed by ecosystem A would now come to ecosystem B and itself is an
invasive species in ecosystem B.

Rewrite the paragraph you wrote for Wed 19 Oct as best as you can (3 points)
Note: There is no paper written on Wed 19 Oct. Furtheremore, 19 Oct is not Wednesday. It is Monday.
Assumption: Mis-dating the question.
Solution: Changing from “Wed 19 Oct” into “Wed 14 Oct” based on data in class and personal
clarification.
As an invasive species is introduced to an ecosystem, the main effect overtime is to
cause the inbalance in the particular ecosystem individually or the evolution for
ecosystems generally. Invasive species can limit the growth of the native species, push
the native species to extinction, or disfunction the ecosystem by generate the
overpopulation of species which are now no longer controlled by the species that are
elimited by the invasive species. On a bigger scale, introduction an invasive species can
cause a series of changing of ecosystems. The native species in ecosystem A once
disturbed by the invasive species would migrate the another ecosystem – consider
ecosystem B. As the native species migrate from ecosystem A to ecosystem B, the native
species from ecosystem A itself, now might become an invasive species in the
ecosystem B. Furthere, the changing in those ecosystem series might not stop there.
Instead, it is a series of changing, considering an evolution.

and distribute to the indirect consumers through markets. On an illegal scale, people
who are considered as loggers and poachers, their living is on the disturbance toward
the wild ecosystem

Homework for 19th October [ HIEP TON] October 19, 2015
For each of the following groups, give a type of action and an example of what
they can do to protect species (biodiversity). List if this is at the local, state, or
international level. You may ise Table 6.3 from your book (1 point)
Groups are:
1. Individual - Learn and understand more about environment, especially the cause
and effects. Raise the awareness on self-action by considering the
negative/position effects toward environment. This can be considered as local.
Ex: Free the trapped bugs in the bottle
2. Business - Establishing policies minimize the wastes that are harmful to the
ecosystems. This can be considered as local.
Ex: Installing filter for the smoke before emitting into the atmosphere
3. Non-profit - Recruite and generate more impact programs that raise the
awareness of the people about the environment aht they are living in. This can
be considered as both state and internaltional.
Ex: Meeting and Volunteering on picking trash on beach shores
4. Science - Experiment and fact-check scientific data. This can be considered as
internaltional.
Ex: Publish the true information and data to the public as well as listing out the
solution for certain cases
5. Government - Acknowledge the problems and pass laws as solution. This can be
considered as both state internaltional.
Ex: Particularly, in California, Vehicle must pass the Smog-Check test.

List what you can do to help prevent the decline of biodiversity (1 point)
As a student, I can learn more about the structure of the biodiversity as well as the
possibilities of having it becoming stable/unstable. While learning, I can explain and
advice other invididuals about the topic. Studying and Spreading the knowledge as well
as important information.
