A Letter from the President
Graduate Brothers:
This semester looks to be anther exciting one for Phi Gamma Delta. The combined
efforts of our generous alumni and previous leadership of this chapter have
provided us with a rejuvenated set of goals. There are great opportunities for our
members this coming semester.
Our goals remain the same: increase campus involvement, become a top house in
academics, and improve in the areas of philanthropy and community service. We
continue to strive to be a top awards winner in OU’s Standards of Excellence.
Furthermore, we are constantly working towards our ultimate goal to become a
Cheney Cup winner by our centennial in 2016. We believe we are one of the best
FIJI chapters in the nation and it is time for us to prove it.
Brotherhood in the house is as strong as ever. The fall pledge class brought a lot
more than just numbers. They are enthusiastic about FIJI and eagerly volunteer to
help better the fraternity. The commitment the Nu Omega Chapter has from the
oldest alumni to the youngest member is something very unique.
I look forward to the future accomplishments of this chapter and have never been
prouder to be a Phi Gam.
Fraternally,
Thomas Renouard

Chapter Committees
Since the installment of Chapter Committees,
we have seen a more cohesive team unit across
the board. Various committees look to take all
fall projects, and put them into action!
Philanthropy/Community Service
The Nu Omega Chapter had a tremendous turnout
at Phi Gam Slam from various fraternities;
sororities, multi cultural clubs and other OU
affiliated organizations. Our philanthropic
presence within OU is progressive and continual.
Scholarship
Brotherhood
The existence of scholarship within this chapter is
stronger then ever. Improvement has been evident
over the course of the last few semesters, and we
believe this to be attributed to our firmly
implemented scholarship plan. The brothers hope to
target and recruit more quality young men who
display a scholarship driven focus. Of course, the
support of the brother Curtis Mewbourne endowed
scholarship fund will always highlight scholarship
excellence!
Brotherhood is what keeps this fraternity
constantly moving and growing. This fall, the
members put together an OU football watch party,
which was made possible, by the accommodations
of our backyard. The attendance was perfect, as
the event was a great opportunity for members of
all classes to interact and enjoy OU football.
Retreat
This fall the Nu Omega chapter held its first annual
chapter retreat. The attendance of all members
aided in the facilitation of a productive and
entertaining day. Various members enjoyed
constructive conversation with alumni on areas of
potential improvement. It was a day of unity,
brotherhood and progression.

Pledge Class 2014 Making a Positive Impact on
the Norman Community
`
The 2014 fall pledge class of the Nu
Omega Chapter has been hard at work in
the Norman community upon signing Phi
Gamma Delta. The pledge class
participated in Phi Gam Slam, Shackathon,
Habitat for Humanity Build, and the Theta
5k.
join. They mutually had an interest in all
being apart of an organization that left such
a positive mark on the local community.
Phi Gam Slam was held this past semester
at the chapter house for the first time in
years. The event was a hit! The attendance
ranged from varies students at OU enrolled
in fraternities, sororities, multicultural clubs
and more. The event rose upwards of two
thousand dollars!
This years pledge class has taken the
initiative towards campus involvement.
They have been encouraged to follow the
path of their brothers before them in joining
at least one student organization. Their
approach has been tremendous, as the
entire class has become actively involved in
three to five organizations.
On the early, bitterly cold morning of
November 8th the entire pledge class
showed their support at the Theta 5k. The
freshmen were bundled up and ready to
run! Aside from their participation, the Nu
Omega Chapter internally raised and
donated over one thousand dollars, earning
platinum level sponsorship. As an
organization, we always enjoy any
opportunity to be of service to anyone that
is giving back or making a difference within
the community.
As pledge class president, Kylar Gee
instilled accountability and timeliness
among the new pledge class. He helped
orchestrate several brotherhood events,
including a father son golf tournament. This
pledge class work as a unit, and we expect
great things to come from them in the
future.
The pledge class participated in
shackathon, a philanthropy event which
raised funds for the United Way of Norman.
In this event, the pledge class was required
to build a shack and raise money on
campus. The pledge class received first
place in donations and rose over eight
hundred dollars total!
Habitat for Humanity is an on campus
organization here at OU, and this pledge
class took the initiative of having everyone
