JOB DESCRIPTION
Program Coordinator
Bachelor’s Level
FUNCTION
The Bachelor’s Level Program Coordinator plans and coordinates one or more programs at the Youth Service
Bureau (YSB), ensuring efficient and quality services are being rendered to the community.
The Bachelor’s Level Program Coordinator provides non-clinical direct service and case management to clients
that enter the Youth Service Bureau from a variety of referral sources, including, but not limited to: family
referral, school referral, police departments, court services and self-referral.
SUPERVISION: The Bachelor’s Level Program Coordinator reports directly to the Executive Director.
CATEGORIZATION: YSB designates the following categories. Please see Employment Agreement for
information specific to your designation.
FT100 - Full-Time Staff – 100% (37.5 hrs/week)
FT80 – Full Time Staff – 80% (30 hrs/week)
Permanent Part-Time Staff -20-30 hours/week
Hourly Staff – less than 20 hours/week
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES
Direct Service
1) Assess, evaluate and provide high quality services to DeKalb County youth and their families consistent
with designated program(s).
2) Responsible for facilitation, coordination, assignment, and/or delivery of program services including
but not limited to groups, therapy, etc.
3) Responsible for all communication, scheduling, and other coordination with referral sources related to
designated program(s).
4) Provide both intra and inter-agency referral services for youth and families as determined by
assessments.
5) Provide referral services for youth and families.
6) Provide on-call coverage for the Crisis Intervention Program for a minimum number of days/month,
designated by Crisis Program Coordinator and based on full time/part time status. On-call coverage is
compensated, see job agreement for details.
Administration
1) Attend and participate in YSB Staff meetings as schedule allows.
2) Supervise all work by undergraduate interns and volunteers related specific to designated program.
3) Maintain all required records and paperwork, including, but not limited to, client files, program
statistics, billing requirements in a matter that is consistent with Agency Policy.
4) Administers outcome measuring tools as instructed by Associate Director including but limited to
quarterly, termination, and follow-up surveys, and any program validity tests.
5) Monitor all program tracking and database imputation for consistency and accountability in

congruence with YSB requirements and in a matter that is consistent with Agency Policy and Standards
of Operation.
6) Works in coordination with Program Manager to ensure accurate statistical tracking of Program
Coordinated data.
7) Train undergraduate interns and volunteers in specific procedures related to designated program.
8) Promote the designated program and/or agency within the county through direct participation in
relevant meetings, public appearances, media opportunities and by issuing news releases, distributing
brochures and newsletter, etc.
9) Assist with the human resources of designated program, including input on staff annual evaluations,
hiring and discipline.
10) Assist the Executive Director and Associate Director in development and implementation of program
fundraising activities through grants, programs, hearings and direct contacts with potential funders.
Professional Development
1) Remain current on all areas related to job duties.
Inter-Agency Coordination
1) Attend monthly (or as needed) meetings as appropriate or requested by the Executive Director.
2) Establish and maintain working relationships with other agencies for the purpose of case coordination,
programming issues, referrals, etc.
Other
1) Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
2) Assist with all agency outreach efforts.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. All therapeutic services (assessment, program
services) will be administered by Master’s level therapists.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures,
or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients,
customers, and general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common rations, and
decimals. Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited
standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or
schedule form.
