Call Description:
Valley Art Center is proud to present 'The
32nd Annual Art by the Falls' outdoor fine
arts and contemporary crafts festival. Every
year the event draws thousands of patrons
to the banks of the Chagrin River, located
in the middle of historic Chagrin Falls. An
ideal setting for an outdoor festival, the
quaint village's Main Street overlooks two
waterfalls and hosts a wealth of fine shops,
galleries and restaurants.
The show features approximately 120
painters, potters, jewelers, wood workers,
fiber artists and other fine craftspeople.

Application to Art by the Falls constitutes a
commitment by the exhibitor to show for
the duration of the festival, rain or shine.

Participation Rules:
1. All work MUST be original and for sale.
Vote for each: Entry
2. All work must be designed and executed
by the accepted artist. Artwork must depict
work submitted in application images.
Voting Categories: Score
3. Artists may only show work in
categories approved by the jury. All work
exhibited must be of the quality and type
shown in the images submitted to the jury.
More than one category may be exhibited
but each category of work to be shown
must be submitted for jurying. To exhibit
work in more than one category, an artist
must submit 4 images for each category of
work and indicate if they will exhibit if
only one area is accepted. Application
forms and fees must be submitted
separately for each category.
Notes Settings
4. Prints from lithographs, monoprints,
plates, screens, serigraphs and wood blocks
must be created and produced by the artist.
Only 20% of the entire body of work can
be photo-mechanical reproductions.
5. Art by the Falls does not accept works
created from kits or assembled from
machine manufactured items.
6. Artists MUST remain with their work

7. Artists must provide all display
equipment, including booth set up, chairs
and tables. No electricity is available for
artists.
8. Artists are responsible for proper
insurance and protection of self, work and
set up. The Valley Art Center will not be
responsible for damage to work or set up
due to weather or unrelated incidents.
Valley Art Center will not be responsible
for theft, loss or physical injury to vendors,
vendors' property and/or guests.
9. All Vendors are required to have a
vendors license according to the state of
Ohio. A vendor's license can be obtained at
the Ohio's Department of Taxation website.
10. Artists are encouraged to demonstrate
their work.
11. Artists must donate a piece of their
artwork valued at $50 to the Valley Art
Center Raffle Booth. This helps raise funds
for Valley Art Center's programming while
bringing attention to participating artists as
their booth number is prominently
displayed by their donation. For every $50
spent on artwork at the festival, the buyer
receives a raffle ticket.
12. Artists MUST park in only approved
parking areas. Artists will be fined and
ejected from show if they choose to do
otherwise.
