2015 Souvenir Journal Guidelines
Submissions
We are pleased to announce the submission guidelines for the 2014 Teen Conference Souvenir Journal. All
forms must be uploaded to Dropbox folder: 2015 Teen Conf Souvenir Ads. Remember, chapters and
individuals still need to mail their payment and order form to the Regional Treasurer.
2015 Teen Conference Souvenir Journal Guidelines
The Web upload site will be available until midnight May 1, 2015. All payments must also be received by the
Regional Treasurer by May 10, 2015 (copy of payment submittal must be sent to Regional Secretary). We
will not be able to accept submissions (forms, photos) by mail or email. Additionally, we will not accept
changes to text or photos once we have received your materials (this includes missing and corrupted files),
so please review all submissions before uploading them!) Files will be sent to the printer immediately after
the deadline for final printing of the Souvenir Journal.
Text Specifications
• All text must be submitted as a Microsoft Word document.
• All text should be submitted in Times New Roman size 12 font, single-spaced with sections clearly
labeled. Please run spell/grammar check before submitting any materials. Limit your use of bold,
italicized, or underlined text.
• Please abide by the following maximum word count allotment. Senior Biographies: 100 words
Photo Specifications
• All photos must be submitted in a .tiff or .jpg format (no .pdf files). No scanned reproductions of an
image from another publication can be used. Do not send photos in a Word document. All images
must be uploaded individually!
• All chapter photos must be landscape style (horizontal, NOT vertical).
• It is recommended that all photos are high-resolution (hi-res). Please do not send thumbnails (very
small, low resolution photos). As a general rule, the larger the image file the better it will print.
• If an image is being printed in two places in the book, it must be submitted twice. For example, if the
same photo is being used as a senior picture and on a senior congratulations page, upload both
individually using the Graduating Senior form and the Individual Ad Form, both labeled correctly, one
identified as “…_Senior_Smith_Jane.jpg” and one as “…_Ad_Smith_Jane.jpg”.
 IMPORTANT: Please refer to the Naming Protocols document that is
included in this packet.
