Market Research Analyst Job Description The American College of Financial Services is the nation’s largest non-profit professional educational institution devoted to financial services. The College’s faculty represents some of the financial services industry’s foremost thought leaders. The American College, located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania (just outside Philadelphia) is accepting applications for a Market Research Analyst who will be responsible for gathering, analyzing and presenting primary and secondary research information to support strategic planning efforts for The College. The Market Research Analyst will interpret data within the financial services industry and make recommendations that will determine product design, delivery and promotion. Primary Duties Performs detailed competitive analysis and market research to understand ways we can win in the marketplace to further the mission of The College Collects data on students, competitors and the market place, and consolidates the information into actionable items, reports and presentations Interprets data within the financial services industry, formulates reports and makes recommendations Understands business objectives and designs surveys to discover students’ preferences Gathers data on competitors and past sales to analyze prices and methods of marketing and distribution. Tracks and analyzes marketing and sales trends, forecasts and prepares reports in order to measure the effectiveness of programs. Remains fully informed on market trends in the financial services industry Job Requirements A minimum of 3 to 5 years within the Market Research industry, preferably in a financial services field Strong PC skills; specifically Excel and PowerPoint Proven experience working with SAS to extract and manipulate data Familiarity with the Financial Services industry and its products and services Strong analytic and critical thinking skills Please submit your resume, portfolio, and cover letter along with your salary requirements to recruiting@theamericancollege.edu.
