The meeting was called to order at 6:40 pm.

Welcome/Introductions
President’s Report – Diane Smith

Bookfair – April 29th – May 3rd

Jr Achievement – all classrooms covered

All current chairs report to Cathie Voth for return status

Applebee’s Family Night Out was fun and had a profit of $121.00!
o
Next Family Night Out will be at Chipotle in Vadnais Heights on May 21st from 5:007:00pm
Secretary’s Report – Nicole Kendall – March Minutes Approved

Proposed Lincoln School PTA 2013-2014 budget reviewed and approved
o
Review the Art Enrichment program and where funds are allocated
o
BOLT night will change to a PTA sponsored event and will be held in October
o
Grandparents’ Day, t-shirts and teacher appreciation added
There is an overage from last year – where to spend?
o
Ideas: Gym sound system, painting throughout the building, new play set, net for
playground, kits for playground, raised bed school/community vegetable gardens on Lincoln
property.

Current income Summary: Carnival profit $5700.00 (down from last year), Annie Jr. currently
at $3900.00 (there will be more collected), Read A Thon profit $4407
Vice President’s Report – Cathie Voth

Annie Jr. – we are 2 weeks out until the first performance

Working on dress rehearsals, stage lighting

Purchased tickets will go home Monday

Art Adventure – Reserved next years kit “Let’s Celebrate Life”

Water Conservation Badge – work on Lincoln garden to do a project to finish getting their
badges


MCA – all the tests will be only online – first time ever for reading

Reading/Math Corp tutor will be finalized by May 31st

By Fall 2013 – All staff will use Schoology to enhance online communications with students and
parents

Unique Events at Lincoln
o
Grade 3 YMCA Swimming sessions will end April 17th
o
DARE lessons once a week for 5th grade
o
Patrol Picnic May 7th at Aldrich Arena
o
Valleyfair Patrol Trip May 30th
