MATHEMATICS ACTION PLAN DEVELOPMENT

Goal
Which need(s) does this Goal address?
How is this Goal linked to the District’s Strategic Plan?
The students will increase the percentage scoring Proficient or Advanced on the Algebra II assessment by 3.6% at the end of the
2014-2015 academic school year.
The percentage of students scoring at Proficient or above levels for the 2014-2015 academic school year will 46.7 percent in
order to meet or exceed adequate yearly progress in Algebra II.
To ensure that, by the year 2025, 80% of Shelby County Schools’ students are career and college ready, 90% of students
graduate from high school and 100% of students who graduate will enroll in a post-secondary learning opportunity.

quarterly common assessments
as well as administer the
district’s Discovery formative
assessment.
Teachers will participate in data
sessions to analyze common

develop SMART goals, an action
plan for re-teaching and reassessing, and interventions for
students.
Students will attend an extensive
after-school tutoring program for
the End of Course Algebra II.
The Math department will
