1. Young Ambassadors and Key Club is having their Navajo Fry Bread Taco Night,
Friday, November 18 from 5:00 – 7:00 at the Knights of Columbus. Pre-Order your taco’s
with Kathy Adams or any of the Young Ambassador or Key Club Members.

2. Mr.Muscatine packets are available in Mrs.Bobays office
3. Speech and Debate: There will be practice this week on TODAY, Tomorrow, and Thursday
in Mrs. Cantrell's room.
4. There will be a Drama Meeting tomorrow after school in the Choir Room. Please come and
join them as they will be discussing important information for future activities.
5. The MHS Girls Basketball Team is selling apparel. Hooded sweatshirts for $25 and long
sleeved t-shirts for $15. All orders must be received by Monday, November 21st. If

6. Silver Cord Opportunity - Any students with 6th or 7th hour free looking for hours towards
Silver Cord, please see Mrs. Bobay.
7. Attention all volleyball players: The volleyball banquet will be held Sunday, November
20th from 6-8 at Whispering Pines.
8. Attention Senior Boys - The Mr. Muscatine Packets are now available out of Mrs.Bobay's
office!!
9. Attention Seniors: be sure to check Student Services for the many Scholarships that are
available!
10. Due to the start of basketball season & practices, the gym is no longer an exit for all
students. At the end of the day, you will be directed to find another exit as we will limit
traffic in the gym after school. Please find an alternative exit.
11. Sophomore’s will meet with Jostens Tuesday, November 22 during homeroom in the
auditorium to receive class ring information.
12. On November 29, Jostens will be here during lunch segments in the gym foyer for class
ring orders.
13. Attention Seniors: Check out the many scholarship opportunities in Student Services.
14. Any student who is interested in Silver Cord opportunities please check the Silver Cord
bulletin board outside of Student Services.
15. Congratulations to all 13 of the homerooms that participated in the second week of the
Tootsie Pop Competition! This week the top 4 homerooms will receive a large bag of Tootsie
Pops.The first weeks winners are... in 4th place is Mrs. Reade, 3rd place is Mr. Bobay, 2nd
place is Ms. Goedken and our week two winner is Mr. Fladlien's Homeroom :) Next week we
will be awarding the Top 3 Homerooms, it is a new competition each week so good luck
everyone!!
16. Congratulations to those students who competed this weekend at the IFL Fall Classic in
Marshalltown. Muscatine was represented in the Friday night House of Congressional
Debate by Senators Schrock, Hartman, Carrasco, and Petersen. Haley Steele and Moriah
Steele took 4th place in their first ever Duo Interpretation performance! Davis Schrock
placed 1st in Humorous Interpretation and also in Oral Interpretation. Competing for the first
time in United States Extemporaneous Speaking was Olivia Carrasco. Olivia also competed
in Oral Interpretation along with Kindra Petersen and Allison Hartman. Way to go, ladies
and Davis!
