VCE GLOBAL POLITICS WRITING TEAM
TERMS OF REFERENCE FOR A MINOR REVIEW
The VCE Global Politics Writing Team will prepare minor revisions to the VCE Global Politics
Study Design in accordance with the VCAA Principles and guidelines for the development
and review of VCE studies. The team is an advisory one and its proposed study design will
be subject to approval by the Board of the VCAA.
Specifically, the Writing Team will consider minor amendments to the study in terms of:
 the appropriateness of the areas of study/outcomes and their relationship to the school
assessed coursework
 the appropriateness of the areas of study/outcomes and their relationship to the
examination
 clarity and specificity of key knowledge and key skills
 clarity, specificity and consistency of the area of study descriptions
 parity between options within areas of study
 student workload.
Consultation
In the development of the draft revisions the Writing Team will ensure that it consults with
key interest groups including:
 teachers and other stakeholders interested in being consulted on VCE Global Politics
 the relevant subject association
 industry, university and TAFE Department representatives
 the State Reviewer, and Chair of the Examination Panel and Chief Assessor
The draft study design will be made available on the VCAA website during the consultation
period.
