1. Go to the Phet website and download “Gas Properties”
simulation. It can also be found at
https://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulation/gas-properties
2. Using the air pump, add “some” molecules.
3. Describe 3 methods that cause the chamber to break.
4. Make pressure constant. What happens to the numerical value of temperature in the chamber
when you compress the gas (decrease volume)? Describe the mathematical relationship between
these two variables. Why does temperature change? Think about the molecules.
