After almost 20 years of working in Lugano as president of the Planhotel Hospitality Group, with which,
together with her brother Paolo, she has marketed hotel structures managed by her family (13 in all, of
which 7 owned by the family) distributed in the area of the Indian Ocean, Sara Rosso has finally
opened a hotel in “her” own Swiss city and it could not have been anything less than a five star
superior hotel. But why such a choice just now? “Because Lugano didn’t have a hotel managed in such
a way. Because when I saw the structure, I fell in love with it. Because it was the right place at the
right time. Just like its name, which fits it perfectly, THE VIEW".
There are inspirational places. Event organisers know this well and this happens to be just one of those

The brainstorm was to best enhance its position on the hillside of Lugano-Paradiso, with its breath
taking view - The View – onto the gulf.
That’s why more than 600 sq. metres have been devoted to creating a great terrace with a spectacular
view, which serves to irresistibly attract meetings, banquets and events, all organised in great style as
Sara Rosso herself attests: "Its space that’s been designed ad hoc allowing us to organise a wide range
of events. We’ve already had several requests for motor shows, since cars can easily access the terrace

seating 70 people with panoramic windows, a pool area that’s ideal for aperitifs and a restaurant,
which looks directly out onto the terrace, entrusted to the chefs Eros Picco and Tommaso Arrigoni,
owners of the starred Innocenti Evasioni in Milano, which in this new location promise to experiment
with different culinary experiences: cooking classes, four hand dinners, food shopping with the chef.
Moreover the concept of personalised service is at the foundation of the THE VIEW’s management. In
the 18 rooms, including two suites, all in luxury yacht style, with a balcony overlooking the lake and
with boat teak furnishings chosen by the architect Alessandro Galloni, room service is guaranteed 24
hours daily and among the optionals you’ll find not only the type of pillow but also a wide selection of
scented pillowcases (lavender, eucalyptus, camomile, orange flower...). Class is always in the forefront
with us. "We wish to make of personalised service one of our top priorities, since today this is what
establishes the category of a hotel and this is the point on which we’ve consolidated the loyalty of our
guests throughout the years, which reaches 70% of out clientele” Sara Rosso adds.
