Dear Teachers,
Fall is just about here and we are preparing for your arrival. If you have not scheduled
your class tour for Johnson’s Giant Pumpkins, its time you did so. School Tours will be offered
on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. Mondays and Wednesdays are available upon special
request.
Three different tours are available again this year. The Educational tour includes a visit
to the pumpkin patch, the science station, and the Native American teepee where students learn
about Indian music, heritage, language and crafts, as well as a tour of the grounds which include
our cartoon character decorations. This tour is perfect for 1st through 4 graders.
The Corn Maze tour is another tour we offer and is part of the fun at Johnson’s!! This
tour includes a walk through the 13 acre corn maze, as well as touring the decorated cartoon
characters on the grounds. This tour is perfect for your older students.
Our Grandpa’s Animal Farm tour offers 8 stops with viewing of Emus, Alpacas, Sheep
and Goats just to name a few, along with the Soy Bean Maze and a tour of the decorations. This
tour is great for Pre-K and Kindergarten Students.
Students and chaperones will receive either a pumpkin or activity book and pencil to take
home with them. The cost is $4.00 per student and chaperones. For an additional $1.00, the
students & chaperones can enjoy a fresh homemade donut and an apple juice box. There is no
charge for Teachers & Aides. All tour packages usually take an average class about one hour 45
minutes with snack, and one hour 30 minutes without snack to complete. We ask you to please
have the children use the bathroom at School before arriving at the farm. This will help with
starting your tour on time.
