Beauty and the Beast - MALE ACTOR AUDITION INFORMATION SHEET Thank you for considering auditioning for St. Mary’s Academy’s production of Beauty and the Beast. The following is information regarding the audition process and working at SMA. I’ve tried to cover as much as I can, but if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me! ROLES – I am looking to cast the roles of The Beast and Gaston. If possible I am also looking to cast Maurice (Belle’s father) but the other two are my first priority. AUDITIONS – Auditions for the SMA students consist of a vocal audition and cold readings from the script Wednesday January 8th from 4-8pm (this can be adjusted for travel if necessary). Pre-selected vocal pieces from the play have been selected for your vocal audition. There will be a live accompanist at the auditions for your vocal audition. There will be a morning matinee on Thursday February 28th and I will ask you to miss school for this performance. There will be no rehearsal that evening. *St. Mary’s will provide a parking stipend for you to attend rehearsals and performances.
