Basic Life Support Course: The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Providers Classroom Course is designed to provide a wide variety of
healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening
emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe,
timely and effective manner.
Audience: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know
how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of
in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.
Course Content










Key changes in basic life support, reflecting the new science from the
2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
Critical concepts of high-quality CPR
The American Heart Association Chain of Survival
1-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
2-Rescuer CPR and AED for adult, child and infant
Differences between adult, child and infant rescue techniques
Bag-mask techniques for adult, child and infant
Rescue breathing for adult, child and infant
Relief of choking for adult, child and infant
CPR with an advanced airway*
Course Format: Provider Course requires approximately 8 hours to
complete, including skills practice and skills testing.

Student manual comes with new Pocket Reference Card, designed to
provide quick emergency information to the rescuer at any time.
Updated Science-based content
In the classroom, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios
and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to
complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also
complete a written exam.
Certification: American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers
Course Completion Card, which is valid for two years.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course: ACLS is an advanced, instructor-led
classroom course that highlights the importance of team dynamics and
communication, systems of care and immediate post-cardiac-arrest care. It
also covers airway management and related pharmacology. In this course,
skills are taught in large, group sessions and small, group learning and
testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented.
Audience: ACLS is designed for healthcare professionals who either direct
or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest and other
cardiovascular emergencies. This includes personnel in emergency
response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.
Course Content









Key changes in advanced cardiovascular life support, reflecting the
2010 American Heart Association Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary
Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care
Basic life support skills, including effective chest compressions, use
of a bag-mask device and use of an (AED)
Recognition and early management of respiratory and cardiac arrest
Recognition and early management of peri-arrest conditions such as
symptomatic bradycardia
Airway management
Related pharmacology
Management of acute coronary syndromes (ACS) and stroke
Effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation
team
Effective Resuscitation Team Dynamics
Course Format: Initial Provider Course requires approximately 14-16 hours
to complete, including skills practice and skills testing.

and instructor feedback while learning skills
Certification: Upon successful course completion, including demonstration
of skills competency in all learning stations and passing the CPR and AED
skills test, bag-mask ventilation skills test, a Megacode test and a written
test, students receive an American Heart Association ACLS course
completion card, valid for two years
Admission Process: Candidates to submit the copy of MBBS/BDS/Nursing
completion certificate along with course fee.
Course Fee: Rs. 3500 for BLS and Rs. 4500 for ACLS.
Rs. 7000 for combined BLS and ACLS
For delivery of books and certificates by courier - additional Rs. 500 towards
delivery charges.
