World History 9 Midterm Review 2014-2015
Your midterm will consist of two portions: an objective portion and a written portion. The
objective portion will consist of 60 multiple-choice questions, which will be worth 1 point
each. The written portion will consist of 4 short essays, worth 10 points each. The total
midterm will be scored out of 100 points; remember that this counts as 10% of your final
average for World History.
Below is a list of terms, topics, and study questions that will help you review the key content
for the midterm. We will spend several days in class reviewing for this exam. We will spend
about half of class answering questions about the content to refresh your memory (that you
must generate based on what you need help with on the study guide). The other half will be
spent working on traditional flashcards, Quizlet online flashcards, or defining
terms/answering the study questions to create a master study guide, and/or working on essay
prep. Each day of review, you will have a different part of the study guide due, which will
count for homework credit (so by doing what you are SUPPOSED to be doing anyway, you
will have the chance to raise your grade for second marking period).
NOTE: Whenever it says HL below, that means Human Legacy (your textbook). DT means
Discovery Techbook. I put in the chapter references to help you out. However, you should also
make extensive use of your homework, class notes, old tests, activities, and my website from
these units.
