Fred Funk, Jay Haas and John Cook Light Up the List of Returning
Champions to the 29th Annual AT&T Championship
Toledo, Elkington, Mediate and Montgomerie highlight newcomers in the field

October 9, 2013 (SAN ANTONIO) – The AT&T Championship announced seven new commitments to the
field of golfers for the 2013 tournament. They include past champions Fred Funk, Jay Haas and John Cook
and newcomers Esteban Toledo, Steve Elkington, Rocco Mediate and Colin Montgomerie. The Champions
Tour event is slated for October 21-27, 2013 at TPC San Antonio’s AT&T Canyons Course.
The 2006 champion, Fred Funk, is currently ranked fifteenth in the Charles Schwab Cup rankings with 868
points. With 9 PGA Tour wins and sixteen Champions Tour wins, Jay Haas, the 2005 champion, will return to
the AT&T Championship. He sits at spot 17 on the Schwab Cup rankings. Two-time AT&T Championship
champion (2007, 2008), John Cook, is ready to return to San Antonio seeking a third title. He holds eighth
place on the Schwab Cup leaderboard.
Tour newcomer Esteban Toledo will come into San Antonio on a roll with two wins in his rookie season on
the Champions Tour. He is one slot behind John Cook in the race for the Schwab Cup. Australian Steve
Elkington will ride into town in his two-story trailer, affectionately named The Big Show. Elkington amassed
10 wins while on the PGA Tour. Rocco Mediate and Colin Montgomerie have also joined the field of players,
and currently hold 12th and 39th spaces on the Schwab Cup rankings, respectively.
Tickets are currently being sold through the Champions FORE Charity ticket program for $10 and will be
sold at the gates on the days of Championship Play (Fri., Oct. 25 – Sun., Oct. 27) for $20.
