RE: Alumni Sponsored Scholarships
The New Underwood Alumni Association is proud to sponsor a scholarship program for graduating seniors. The following guidelines will be used to select recipient:
1.
Students must have attended NUHS for at least 3 years.
2.
Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a fulltime undergraduate course of study at an accredited two or four year college, university, or vocational technical school.
3.
Scholarship recipients will be chosen based on the following information disclosed in a resume— a.
Transcript including GPA (at least 2.5) b.
Participation in School Activities c.
Work Experience d.
Community involvement and Activities e.
Personal Statement of Career Goals
4.
Students must write summary explaining why they feel they are worthy of the scholarship as well as their personal characteristics and ambitions for the future.
5.
A brief letter of recommendation from a teacher, coach, administration, pastor, etc. is
MANDATORY.
NO LATE APPLICATIONS will be honored.
