Samples of students’ papers CLONING IS THE SOLUTION TO OUR HEALTH PROBLEMS Since human beings have successfully cloned there have been endless discussions about whether we should use it or not. There are three main reasons to put forward cloning. As far as I can see the first advantage of cloning is the fact that parents who have lost their child in an accident or the child has simply passed away would be able to clone him or her. They would give him the same physical appearance, the same look and behavior. Secondly I think it is very important that we would be able to clone human organs so there wouldn’t be so many people dead because their transplantation is late. Finally, we could make our child look exactly like we wanted him to look like and we could give him or her all the positive things that maybe we don’t have. I personally am not in favor of these things. I think that cloning is a very risky thing to do. We might just ask ourselves what about the feelings of a clone. Is he ever going to be accepted or not? The second thing is that maybe a person will never be happy and satisfied with his life knowing that he’s a clone. In addition, we might think about the environment a clone would live in, about his behavior, acts and thinking and maybe how he would affect us? To sum up, looking at all the facts for and against I personally think it’s not a good thing for neither of us, our children or our health. It’s even an additional problem. We should be able to live our life normally and be satisfied with how we are. There have been many arguments for cloning. The first is that we could replicate organs that could be used like transplants. The second advantage is that if we start cloning we will be able to produce viruses and bacteria for research and making vaccines. In spite of all that, cloning is against God’s laws and science should not interfere with such serious matters. Furthermore, such actions are questioning ethical and moral standards. Finally, we must ask ourselves, if we could clone organs and some species, how soon would we start cloning humans. How far should experiments like this go?! To sum up, cloning can bring a lot of good in this world and maybe even a solution to our health problems, but there are various moral borders which bring a benefit of a doubt considering the welfare of this issue. In my opinion cloning of organs and tissues is very helpful, but I also feel that we must stop before we get to the point when we start cloning human beings. I think this is a very sensitive problem and it should be taken care of with caution. (217 words)
