Parents,

Wednesday, September 25, 2013 is World School Milk Day . We will be talking with the students for the next 2 weeks about the importance of dairy products to their health. Did you know that milk is an important source of the vitamins and minerals that students need to stay healthy, alert and ready to learn? We want our students to remember to make milk and other dairy products a part of their ever day diet! We will be having 3 contests in preparation of World School Milk Day. We are having a

Milk/Dairy Poster Contest, a milk mustache contest and a door decorating contest.

Please encourage your child to participate in these events. The winners of these contests will be invited to attend our special presentation for World School Milk Day on September 25 th

in the cafeteria. In conjunction with World School Milk Day we are having the

Red Barn Farm on our campus September 24 th and 25 th . The cost for the students to participate in the Red

Barn Farm is $3.00. Please consider allowing your child to participate in this wonderful field trip. The great thing about this field trip is it comes to us! There is no traveling – the students simply get to walk over to the playground and learn about dairy farmers, a variety of animals and they get to actually hold some of the animals. I hope you give your child the opportunity to attend this fun activity. All your child needs to do is give his/her teacher $3.00 for the field trip. The deadline for the $3.00 is Tuesday morning, September 24, 2013.

Please encourage your child to continue drinking/eating dairy products so they can be healthy and ready to learn!!!

Thank you,

Mrs. Melissa Ryan, Principal
