Christmas Carol Service on Sunday 7 December at the
University Multi-Faith Centre at 5pm, followed by plenty of mulled wine

Bluebell Care Home Visit: Wed 17 Dec 2.30-3.30pm
Faith In Families: Once again it is time for your Faith in Families
money box to be opened. Please bring your boxes into the sacristy at
either church. They will be emptied and returned to you the following

Knights of St Columba Carol Service: Continuing our
tradition, Council 92, Derby, would like to invite you to our annual
Carol Service and Blessing of the Crib around the Christmas tree in
Derby Market Place. This will take place at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday
17 December when Fr John Trenchard, St. Joseph's Derby will bless
the Crib.

St. Joseph's will have extended Saturday morning confessions on the
two weekends before Christmas.
Singing!
Do you enjoy Christmas carols, but feel lacking in
confidence when it comes to having a go singing yourself? Then the
opportunity to learn to sing Advent and Christmas carols is for you.
Just come along on any or all of the singing group practices at either
6pm starting Saturday, 6 December or Sunday, 7 December at
10am for 20 minutes before the Masses and join one of the groups.
No experience is necessary - choir members will be there to help you if
necessary. Everybody, especially young people and children
welcome! Let's prepare to welcome Christmas with heartfelt and joyful
singing! Remember, St Augustine once said " To sing is to pray twice"

the Parish Hall. There is a disabled toilet in the hall.

Rainbows: Fun and games for 5-7 year old girls. Tuesday evenings during

Brownies: For girls 7-10 years old. Tuesday evenings during term time in the
Parish Hall, 6.15-7.30pm. Fun and games, craft, cooking, trips out to bowling,

Line Dancing: Tuesday evening from 8.00pm till approximately 10.30pm in the
Parish Hall. Beginners or anybody interested in learning are welcome to

"Squiggles" Parent and Toddler Group: Thursday morning from
Churches Together In Chellaston: United Carol Services in St.
Peter's Church, Chellaston on Sunday 21 Dec at .500 and 7.00pm.
Singers! We have been invited to sing with St. Peter's Choir
for these Carol Services. Rehearsals in St. Peter's Church Hall
on Thursdays during Advent at 7.30pm. Contact Mr. David

Readers! We have been asked to provide two readers for each

Children's crib service (St Ralph Sherwin): Come and join the
Children's Liturgy group as we set up the crib on Tuesday 23 Dec at
5.00pm. As usual, there will be singing, reading and prayers. We will
aslo be serving drinks and mince pies to get us in the festive spirit.
