303 He is sired by our 120 bull and he came unassisted out of a first calf heifer
with a good udder and temperament. She also got herself bred back on time.
He is a very docile bull. He had a SC of 39.5 semen scores of 50 and 80.
304 He is sired by Cedar Ridge and calved unassisted out of a first calf heifer
that did not get bred back in our window. She did have a good udder and a
good temperament. His SC is 40 and his semen scores are 50 and 95. Good
solid heifer bull.
307 He is sired by a cleanup bull that jumped the fence and he is out of a first
calf daughter of Black Cedar who has a good udder and temper. She got bred
back in our window but is later in the window. Her mother, grandmother and
great grandmother are all here on this farm and they are all good cows with
good udders and tempers. Two of them are pathfinders. He calved out of his
heifer mother without assistance. His SC is 39 and his semen scores are 90 and
90. We call him a heifer bull. He is a very docile calf and his mother is as well.
310 He is sired by Cedar Ridge out of a first calf heifer sired by Chisum. He did
require some assistance being born and he stout so we are calling him a cows
only bull. His mother bred back on time and has already calved this year with a
really nice calf. His SC is 42 with semen scores of 90 and 90. His mother has a
good udder and temper and the bull himself is docile. Really good solid bull
314 He is sired by our 120 bull and out of a first calf daughter of Black Cedar
which makes this bull somewhat line bred as the 120 bull is a grandson of Black
Cedar. He was born unassisted and his mother got herself bred back right on
time. The mother has a good udder and is good tempered and the bull is
docile as well. Should be a fine calving ease bull.
320 This bull is a full brother to the 120 bull owned with Marc Hinners. We
have used 120 on our first calf heifers and have never pulled a calf out of him.
We have several of his daughters in our heifer pen. His mother is 13 this year
and she has been an extremely productive cow for us. She has a good udder
and a very good temperament. I would improve her back feet but she gets
around good. This bull should work very well on heifers and should leave you
with good heifers. His SC is 38 with semen scores of 90 and 90.
323 Sired by the 120 bull out of a good productive All Around daughter who is
out of a pathfinder image Maker cow. His mother and his grandmother are
both very good uddered. Mother is fine for temper. The grandmother is just
average. Bull is exceptionally good tempered and a bull that is always at the
bunk. He has a stiff neck as the result of some young bull mayhem but gets
along fine. A half-brother to his mother went out to the sandhills and has done
very well in a large heifer project. We are considering keeping a semen
interest in this bull. Vet was extremely impressed with the semen sample of
this bull on check day. His SC is 41 and his semen score is 95 and 95. We are
calling him a heifer bull.
324 A very attractive 141 son out of a second calf Chisum cow. Cow has a
good udder and a good disposition. Bull himself has a good disposition. We
are calling him a calving ease with discretion bull. I think he would work well
on most heifers but heifers with some exotic in them or heifers with some built
in birth wts might not work as well. His SC is 40.5 and his semen score is 90
and 90.
325 A Cedar Ridge son out of a really top cow who has raised some of our
better bulls. She is a pathfinder and her mother is a pathfinder. The mother
and grandmother of Cedar Ridge are also pathfinders so with this bull you have
all 4 cows in two generations who are pathfinders and folks that does not
happen very often. She raised our top selling bull two years ago. We are
keeping a semen interest in this bull because of the cows in his background.
He was the smallest bull calf born last spring. Mother is a very good uddered,
good tempered cow and her mother is as well. His grandmother is the mother
of the 355 bull in this sale who is the highest adj yearling wt. bull in the sale.
This bulls SC is 39 with semen scores of 90 and 90. We are calling him a heifer
bull.
326 He is sired by 141 and is out of an older cow that has done a good job for
us. She is good tempered and good uddered and the bull is docile. We are
calling him a calving ease bull with discretion as he is a pretty stout bull and has
been since he was a calf. If you don’t want any trouble at all, this bull is
probably not for you. His SC is 40 with semen scores of 95 and 95.
330 A Black Cedar Son out of an Infocus cow who has one of the best udders
on the place. An extremely smart old cow that kind of keeps her babies away
from the pack for a few days and is never very far from her baby. Very, very,
sound cow with a history of good sound cows in her background. Nothing is
absolute but I would be surprised if you had problems calving out of this bull.
Very attractive, long bodied sound bull. His SC is 39 and his semen scores are
90 and 90.
335 Very good stout bull here. He is sired by our 122 bull owned with Mark
Sickleka. The 122 bull did us a very good job and we used him again the
second year and will use him again this year. 335s mother raised the 712 bull
owned with Brian Kane. We have run 712 up against some top AI sires and he
held his own. The cow also raised the 019 bull who has done a very good job for
Tom Young. The mother has a great udder and is not bad tempered but also
no pet. A very sound stout cow. This bull is a cows only bull and there is not
much doubt in my mind that he will sire cattle that really grow. His SC is 36
with semen scores of 75 and 90
336 This bull is also sired by 122 and he is out of a 9 year old Coalition bred
cow so he is quite similar to the 335 bull. His mother has done a good job for
us and she has a good udder but would call her disposition just average. Bull
himself does not like to be alone. Not upheaded and goofy but likes being in a
group. He is a cows only bull. His SC is 41 and his semen scores are 90 and 90.
337 One more son of 122. He is out of a second calf cow sired by a halfbrother to the 712 bull so he is bred quite similar to the 335 bull. His mother is
a doll for temperament and she has a very nice udder. I have liked this bull
since birth. His SC is 38 and his semen scores are 50 and 90. He is a cows only
bull and there is not much doubt in my mind that he will sire fine cows.
339 This is a Charolais bull sired by White Gold and out of an 8 year old char
cow that has done a good job for us. Moderate sized at birth and the calves out
of his mother have been moderate sized. This bull has kept up with the Angus
bulls, is sound and attractive. His mother is quiet and has a good udder. For
those of you who like a white bull, I think this bull will do you a nice job. His SC
is 33 with a semen score of 50 and 90. Vet did find some scarring on his
Scrotum.
340 Bull sired by our 126 bull owned with Dave Chambers. He is out of a
Coalition cow who has some good cows in her background. Very long bodied
bull. He might turn out to be a heifer bull down the road but for now we are
calling him a cow bull. His mother has a good udder and temper and the bull
himself is docile. His SC is 38 his semen score is 75 and 90.
343 This bull is out of a ten year old cow we bought in the Warden Disperal a
year ago. We also bought her mother who was a 12 year old and the cow line
also included a 14 year old cow. All 3 had very good production records which is
why I bought 2 of them. The cows had good tempers and good udders for their
age. The bull himself is fine in a group but does not like to be alone. I think
the cows sired by him would be good and I also think he will sire growth. His SC
is 39 with semen scores of 95 and 95. We are calling him a cows only bull.
353 Sired by our 956 bull owned with Dave Hefty and out of a good old 12
year old cow sired by Sitz Reliant. A half-brother to him was one of our top
selling bulls at our sale two years ago. The bull’s mother has a great udder.
She has mellowed out over the years but was temperamental as a young cow.
The bull has a good temper. The 956 bull is so darn quiet that you almost think
he is sick and his calves are docile. 956’s mother is one of our top cows. This is
a cows only bull till he proves otherwise. His SC is 37 and his semen scores are
90 and 90.
355 A real top growth young bull sired by 956 and out of one of our top cows
who is a pathfinder at 12 years of age. Her mother is owned by a commercial
man and she is 14 this year. The dam of the bull is docile and has a deep but
good udder for her age. This is a mid-April calf that will have the top adj
yearling wt. in the sale. Cows only.
359 One more calf sired by 956 and out of a top old cow who also produced
the756 bull that did such a good job for Tom Young. The cow is a doll for
temperament. At the age of 12, she has an udder that is not perfect as the
teats are large at birth but we have not had to help any calf suck. We are
calling this calf a cows only bull and he is the youngest calf in the sale born in
the first week in May. His SC is 36 with semen scores of 50 and 90.
3816 Sired by 956 and out of a productive cow line that includes a cow that is
18 years old this spring. One of the top growth bulls in the sale who also has
very good ultrasound scores. Good tempered bull that we are calling a calving
ease bull with discretion. SC was 36 with a semen score of 90 and 90.
Ty115
A top son of 756 who sires lots of growth. This bull is probably the
biggest framed bull in the sale and he has grown well. He is docile and sound.
We are calling him a cows only bull. His SC is 39 with a semen score of 95 and
95.
Ty17
He is sired by a hoover bred bull and is out of a cow that Tom
bought from us. The cow is a half-sister to the mother of the 355 bull in this
sale so there is maternal power in this bull. We are calling him a cows only bull.
Bull is quiet in a group and has caused no trouble but does not like to be alone.
His SC is 37 with a semen score of 50 and 90.
Ty 117
He is also sired by the hoover bull and out of an image maker
daughter of the mother of the 17 bull. Tom says the udder is good on this cow
but she has a bit of temper. The 117 bull is fine in a group but does not like to
be alone. Both the 17 and 117 bulls are growthy and have good size to them
and should sire the same.
824 This is a bull sired by the 806 bull that has done such a good job for both
Tom and us. This bull is a calving ease bull and he has caught the eye of some
folks who have visited. The vet did not pass him on semen check day but did
say that he thought he should be retested and said he thought he would
probably pass then. We are going to offer him on the sale with the idea that if
he does not pass you don’t own him. We will test him again in about 3 weeks.
This bull is very docile. His SC was 34 with semen scores of 50 and 50.
We did have two bull flunk the semen test with not much hope of doing better
and they are gone.
