Mrs. Many’s 1 st grade class was recognized for the following reasons:

Excellent hall behavior from lunch to classroom to specials class.

Class was very kind and at a level zero while adults were working.
 Great behavior last month during their very 1 st Team Time.

Miss Keller’s 4 th grade class was recognized for the following reasons:
 Excellent behavior in music class for a substitute teacher.

Both classrooms will display the banner, “We Have Valley Mills Spirit” during the month of September and will have an ice cream party.
PERFECT ATTENDANCE
For the Month of August, the following classes had perfect attendance:
1 st Place – Miss Reed’s and Miss Keller’s classes – 17 out of 21 days
2 nd Place – Mrs. Staton’s class – 16 out of 21 days
3 rd Place – Miss Hodge, Miss Harris, Mrs. McCort and Mrs. Marquis’s classes – 15 out of 21 days
Miss Reed and Miss Keller’s classrooms will display the Attendance Trophy for the month of
September and will have an extra recess.

STUDENT OF THE MONTH
A student from each classroom was recognized as the “Student of the Month” for August.
Students were either selected by their classroom teacher or classmates for possessing outstanding citizenship qualities. Each winning student received a “Student of the Month” Certificate, a window sticker, and a Culver’s “Student of the Month” certificate for a free single scoop of frozen custard in a cake cone or dish!
