Reaching out to
the Needy in our
Parish.
The Saint Vincent de Paul
Society's mission is to seek and
find those in need and to serve
them through personal contact
irrespective of age, colour, creed,
gender or ideology.
As a rule the person to person
contact is through visits to people
who may be ill, lonely, isolated
from their families or disabled.
However, in this technological
age, contact could be through
telecommunication, where the
individual prefers it, so telephone
calls or email messages could be
the contact the individual is
seeking.
We are seeking new Conference
members who accept
the Vincentian ideal of attending
Conference meetings and
undertaking to attend such
meetings as often as their
personal and family commitments
permit.
The Conference meeting is
integral to the Vincentian vocation
but it does enable those who
cannot make the meeting for good
reason to still be considered a full
member of the Society.
Our next meeting is 6th Oct at 7:00
p.m. in the presbytery. If you
would like to come, contact Richard
Yates on 0161 794 2590 or 0845
090 0832 or richardyates21@gmail.com

“Looking back with thanks; looking
forward with hope”
Where on earth?!
There are flyers to help discover
what multiplicity of cultures and
nations are represented here in
our parish community. The world
map on the display board will
then be able to demonstrate this
rich diversity.
This is because…this month we
will celebrate the many cultures
and nationalities that are
represented in the parish and
which give us a sense of the
universality of the Church. I hope
that we will hear greetings in the
languages represented and that
everyone will dress in their
national/regional dress.
This Mass is planned for
Sunday 28 September
(11.00am)
