Summary Statement: State the major function(s) of the position and its role in the university. (This section is used for advertisement of the position.) The Manager, Scholar Recruitment and Admissions, is located in the Division of Enrollment Services in Reno, Nevada. The responsibility of this position is to actively recruit academically talented students from Nevada, California, and additional out-of-state markets as determined by the Director of Admissions, with special emphasis in National Merit Scholars, National Achievement Scholars, Hispanic Recognition Scholars, students with university special designation (prospective Presidential and Silver and Blue Scholarship Recipients), ethnically diverse students and students with special talents. The position serves as the primary liaison to the colleges/school deans, colleges/school recruitment outreach, and retention coordinators, and school district curriculum representatives. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of Nevada Scholars Summer Program, Best and Brightest Nevada Bound, Junior Rising Star Nevada Bound, National Merit and Presidential Signing days, National Merit & Presidential Scholar luncheons/Dinners etc. The position manages the University Early College Program (Dual Credit, Early College, and Signature Academy). The Manager advises, registers, and enrolls students and assists the Associate Vice President of Student Services with developing, maintaining, and monitoring Early College policies, procedures, and quality control. The position reports to the Director of Admissions and Office of Prospective Students (OPS) under the Division of Enrollment Services. 2.
